Vennote Technologies is building a next-generation Natural Language Understanding, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence products with a focus on Multimodal and Cross-Channel User Interfaces (phone, web, mobile, etc.)

This is a Contract Hybrid position.

The position requires individuals who enjoy challenges, prioritize, meet deadlines, and have a collaborative work ethic and teamwork spirit working closely with our Speech Scientists, Software Developers, Analysts, and Project Managers.

We are looking for you if you are:

·         Be a veteran AI engineer who is fluent in French and genuinely comfortable working with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agentic AI.

·         Leverage a wide range of techniques from linguistic rules to transformers and deep neural networks in your day-to-day work.

·         Gather and clean relevant datasets for training a chatbot.

·         Create predefined templates to structure responses based on identified intents and entities.

·         Use statistical models to generate more natural and diverse responses.

·         Experience extracting meaningful features from text data, such as n-grams, part-of-speech tags, and named entities.

·         Build models to identify the user's intent or purpose behind their query.

·         Research, experiment with and implement innovative approaches to named entity recognition, relationship extraction, entity linking and classification

·         Work with customer provided data to both evaluate and continuously iterate on NLP solutions

·         Produce performant and production quality robust code following the best practices adopted by the product team

·         Improve (in performance, accuracy etc.) existing solution to NLP problems

·         Have an agile product mentality balancing between finding solutions that deliver high precision/recall, over simpler approaches that can give value to customers in shorter intervals.

·         Demonstrate passion, excitement, and real interest in what we do while being respectful of others and fun to work with

·         Proven experience with Python and Deep Learning Frameworks (PyTorch preferably, Keras optionally)

·         Get involved in all stages of the ML lifecycle

·         Bring conversational design expertise grounded in Congolese culture, with fluency in at least one local language — someone who can define what makes a conversation genuinely good for the average Congolese subscriber, not just technically correct.

·         OCR experience is a bonus.

Optional:

·         Experience with chat or voice bots

·         Knowledge of low code frameworks

·         Experience with Application Containerization methods and Application Containerization Engines (e.g. Docker)

·         Experience with web frameworks for building APIs with Python (e.g. FastAPI, Flask, Sanic)
