Senior Fullstack (Django and Flutter) Developer

Your primary responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining our Flutter mobile applications and Django backend services. You will also contribute to customer-facing web applications built with React, Next.js and TypeScript.

You will help develop new features, improve existing systems, integrate authorised external services and resolve technical issues across the application stack.

The role may also involve assisting with application deployment and general server administration. Detailed information about the company’s infrastructure, security controls and deployment processes will be provided only when appropriate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.

• Design, document and maintain secure APIs.

• Ensure reliable communication between mobile applications, web applications and backend services.

• Implement secure authentication, authorisation and data-handling functionality.

• Design and maintain relational database models.

• Integrate approved third-party services and APIs.

• Develop and maintain web applications using React, Next.js and TypeScript.

• Build responsive, accessible and reusable user-interface components.

• Write clean, reusable, tested and properly documented code.

• Diagnose and resolve issues across mobile, backend and web applications.

• Participate in code reviews and technical planning.

• Follow established source-control, testing and software-release procedures.

• Assist with application deployment and maintenance in Linux-based environments.

• Monitor application health and investigate performance or reliability issues.

• Follow the company’s information-security, access-control and data-protection requirements.

• Communicate progress, risks and technical blockers clearly.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Strong professional experience developing mobile applications with Flutter and Dart.

• Experience releasing and maintaining Flutter applications for Android and iOS.

• Strong professional experience with Python and Django.

• Experience designing and developing APIs with Django REST Framework.

• Strong understanding of relational database design and query optimisation.

• Experience integrating external APIs and webhooks.

• Good professional experience with React and Next.js.

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript.

• Experience building responsive and reusable frontend components.

• Understanding of authentication, authorisation and secure coding principles.

• Working knowledge of Linux or Ubuntu server administration.

• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Ability to understand and contribute to an existing production codebase.

• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Automated testing for Flutter, Django or React applications.

• Mobile application release and review processes.

• Background processing and asynchronous application design.

• Continuous integration and controlled software-release processes.

• Application performance monitoring and optimisation.

• Secure handling of financial or personal information.
